How vegan are Lisa Woods Home products?

Are my products vegan is a question I get asked a lot at markets and the answer is not as simple as you might think. There are many factors to consider when answering this question.

Ingredients

The answer is simply yes, all the ingredients from the wax to the fragrance to the liquid bases are all vegan friendly. This was the easy part, the packaging/vessels is not so easy.

Packaging

Most of our packaging is vegan friendly however our glass candle jars for our refillable candles are not. This is because the paint that they are sprayed with contains shellac which is made form the secretions of lac bugs so definitely not vegan! I am looking for alternatives but they need to be of the same or better quality so watch this space.

Another thing alot of people don't realise is that the glue in labels is not always vegan but never fear my amazing label supplier has this covered so all of our labels are vegan friendly too.

Not all brands are the same

I can only speak for my own brand and not all brands have the same ethos, standards, budget etc so if choosing vegan home fragrance is important to you then make sure you ask before you buy.
